The purpose of this assignment is to determine performance measurement practices and costs associated with the implementation of new technology.

As a manager responsible for the implementation of new technology, the ability to develop and manage a budget effectively is critically important. Also of importance are the identification of key performance indicators and practices that will be implemented to measure performance.

Part 1

Think about the key performance indicators for the project. Formulate performance measurement practices that you will utilize during completion of the project. In a 250-500 word summary, describe three key performance indicators and three performance practices you will employ in managing the technological implementation. Include specific details and a rationale for each selection.

Part 2

Using the budget submitted in the Topic 3 assignment, calculate the net present value of the project.

Assume that you have made the decision to complete all technology work in-house and that you will not be utilizing off-shore resources. You have the following human resources available to work full-time on the project at the noted hourly rates. Adjust the cost of the project based on this information.

Project Manager: $120 per hour

Network Engineer: $95 per hour

System Design Engineer: $90 per hour

Senior Programmer/Analyst: $85 per hour

Programmer/Analyst: $75 per hour

System Test Engineer: $75 per hour

Software Test Engineer: $65 per hour
